According to Deadline, Tom Cruise will show up at the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony for an exciting reason. The Vanilla Sky star is all set to enthral the audience present at the game and the closing ceremony with this big stunt. As per the report, Tom will appear while passing the flag to Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympic Games.

After Paris, the 2028 Olympics are all set to take place in Los Angeles, US, next. Also known as Los Angeles 2028 or LA28, the Summer Olympics will be held from July 14 to 30, 2028. Not many details are revealed about the Paris Olympics closing ceremony. However, the portal mentions that LA Major Karen Bass will receive the Olympic flag from Paris Major Anne Hidalgo.

On the work front, Tom Cruise's last two releases, Top Gun: Maverick (2022) and Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One, were a success at the box office. Both movies impressed the audience and the critics as well. Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Val Kilmer, Ed Harris, Monica Barbaro, and Lewis Pullman also appear in the Joseph Kosinski-directed action drama. It was a sequel to the 1986 movie in which Top played the role of Captain Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell.

On the other hand, Christopher McQuarrie was in charge of directing Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One. The film also stars Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Rebecca Ferguson, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, and Henry Czerny. Currently, Tom Cruis is working on this 8th Mission Impossible movie. It is a sequel to 2023's MI: Dead Reckoning Part One. The same cast will reprise their roles in MI8. The movie is all set to hit theatres on May 23, 2025.
