Hero MotoCorp Expands Global Footprint into Philippines

Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has achieved a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy by entering the Philippines market. The company has partnered with Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC) to assemble and distribute its products in the country.

Manufacturing Facility Established

To support its operations in the Philippines, Hero MotoCorp has set up a state-of-the-art assembly unit and parts warehouse in Laguna. This facility boasts an annual production capacity of over 150,000 units.

Initial Product Lineup and Pricing

The initial product lineup for the Philippines includes the popular Xpulse 200 4V, Hunk 160R 4V, and Xoom 110 scooter. These models are offered at competitive prices: the Xpulse 200 4V is priced at PHP 140,000, the Hunk 160R 4V at PHP 99,900, and the Xoom 110 at PHP 69,900. Each model comes with a two-year or 24,000-kilometer warranty.

Expanding Retail Network

Hero MotoCorp and Terrafirma Motors Corporation have established an initial retail network of over 350 customer touchpoints. The companies aim to rapidly expand this network to enhance customer accessibility and convenience.

With the entry into the Philippines, Hero MotoCorp’s global footprint now extends to 48 countries. The company operates tech centers in India and Germany, and manufacturing facilities in India, Colombia, and Bangladesh.
