The duo first met for dinner when Aishwarya was shooting for the film Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya. At that time, the Dus actor had returned from his college in Boston. The filming was taking place in Switzerland, and Abhishek was there with the production team of Mrityudaata, which stars Amitabh Bachchan.

On The Ranveer Show, Abhishek Bachchan shared interesting details about his and Aishwarya's first meeting. The Dhoom actor said that Bobby Deol, who was also a part of Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, invited him for dinner with him and Aishwarya. It was the actress' first Hindi movie and also the first time Abhishek interacted with her.
