Ranbir revealed that he and Riddhima used to share a room until he was 13 and she was 15. Because she was larger than him, she used to beat him frequently. When he grew in size, he used to beat her up. However, Riddhima left for London for her higher education. By the time she returned, Ranbir had to leave for New York to study. When he came back, his sister got married.

Ranbir Kapoor said that he missed out on the good years of bonding with his sister. Kapoor stated that his sister is married to a man named Bharat, and he's a superb guy. Ranbir's sister is content and has a 13-year-old daughter named Samara. The Saawariya actor is happy for his sister. However, they're not as close as they'd like to be.
