Sanjay Dutt once proposed to Saira Banu for marriage; Veteran actress recalls, 'Nargis would come to our house...'

On Monday, July 29, Sanjay Dutt celebrated his 65th birthday. Fans and many celebrities flooded social media with well-wishes for the Vaastav actor. Veteran actress Saira Banu also shared a lovely post wishing the Dutt a happy birthday. In the post, Saira stated how Sanjay has always been like a family to her. Her entire family, including Dilip Kumar, has watched him grow from a tiny toddler to the remarkable person he is today.

In her post, Saira Banu shared how, as a kid, Sanjay Dutt wanted to marry her. The actress shared an anecdote about when Sanjay's mother, Nargis Dutt, visited their house, and Dutt proposed to Saira. The caption on the veteran actress' Instagram story reads, "I still remember when Nargis Aapa would come to our house for functions, and he would accompany her - this cute, good-looking kid... Nargis Ji would then shake his hands and say, "Chalo, Saira Ji ko bolo tum kya bolte ho mujhe?" And then Sanjay would look at me and say, "Main Shaila Banu se shaadi karunga" in a cute little voice."

As she recalled this sweet memory, Saira Banu called the Munna Bhai MBBS actor adorable. Saira believed that Sanjay's favourite actresses were her and Sharmila Tagore. Further, in her post, Banu stated how the KGF 2 actor holds a special place in her heart and gave him her love and blessings.

Meanwhile, on his birthday, Sanjay Dutt gifted himself a luxurious car, a Range Rover SUV. The actor was spotted taking the car for a ride in the city.

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt will be next seen in Double iSmart. It's a Telugu science fiction action film directed by Puri Jagannadh and also stars Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar. It is slated to hit theatres on August 15, 2024. Sanjay's film will clash with three Hindi movies: Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein, and Vedaa.
