In the movie, Sunny Deol plays a naval officer. Today, many consider Darr to be one of the finest Hindi thriller films. However, the production process was not entirely seamless, particularly during the climax sequence. In the climax scene, we see an intense fight between Sunil and Rahul. However, when Yash Chopra was discussing the scene with Shah Rukh Khan and Sunny Deol, the duo had differences about how to go ahead with it. In an interview, Tinu Verma, the movie's action director, revealed what went down.

While speaking with Incoversation, Tinu Sharma revealed that Sunny Deol said Shah Rukh Khan can't attack his character from the front because he's a trained naval officer. The team felt that Deol's logic was right. However, the Pathaan star believed that he was not someone like Shakti Kapoor, Prem Chopra, or Gulshan Grover who would attack Sunny from behind.

Tinu revealed that the tension escalated, causing Sunny Deol to become so angry that he put his hands in his pockets and struck them with such force that his pants tore. Everyone in the room, including Yash and Aditya Chopra, was shocked. Shah Rukh Khan was also present when this happened. Eventually, the team announced a pack-up.

Later, Yash Chopra asked Tinu Sharma to solve the issue, as he's the action director. Tinu then came up with the idea that Sunny Deol's character wouldn't see the knife, and that Shah Rukh Khan would discreetly stab him in the stomach instead. Tinu called SRK stubborn, and he was adamant that he wouldn't stab the Gadar 2 star in the back. Tinu stated it is because of his confidence, SRK has become the Baadshah today.
