New meeting of Armenian, Azerbaijani parliament speakers announced 

ArmInfo. In October, a meeting between the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan  and the Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova will take place in Geneva.

A preliminary agreement on this was reached at the last meeting in  May. This was announced by Assistant to the Speaker of the RA  Parliament Movses Harutyunyan.

The meeting will be held in the same format as the previous ones.  Thus, the first meeting of the heads of legislative bodies of Armenia  and Azerbaijan took place on March 22, again in Geneva. The parties  discussed the issue of starting contacts between the National  Assembly of Armenia and the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan. The Armenian  side described the meeting as constructive.

Then the speakers met on May 17 this year. - in the same place,  within the framework of the first meeting of the preparatory  commission for the Sixth World Summit of Heads of Parliament of the  Inter- Parliamentary Union (IPU).
