Abhay Verma is slowly making a place for himself in the industry as an actor. He got spotlight in The Family Man and a movie called Safed. In a recent interview, the young actor revealed why he did not do The Archies. In an interview with a news agency IANS, Abhay Verma revealed that The Archies and Safed were happening at the same time. He chose to do Safed over The Archies. He shared that he really wanted to be a part of Safed and since it was finalised he decided to let go of The Archies even though he had met Zoya Akhtar. But that's not all. Abhay Verma also rejected Alia Bhatt's Gangubai Kathiawadi that was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He shared "I wish I could have done that film but I had got another project at that time. But, then a few days after I couldn't do Gangubai Kathiawadi, I met Alia (Bhatt) for a brand shoot. Just a few days back, I had met Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir for Gangubai Kathiawadi."

With Munjya, he has managed to enter the esteemed Rs 100 crore club. The horror comedy drama received a lot of accolades from the audience. The movie revolves around the folklore of Munjya, the vengeful spirit. Abhay Verma shared the screen space with Mona Singh, Sharvari Wagh, Sathayaraj and others in this movie. He did receive positive feedback over his acting chops. Munjya was produced under the banner of Maddock Films. It is still running in the theatres despite competition from Kalki 2898 AD.
