Human Rights Defender: Dialogue is of key importance to forming proper system for protecting human rights
ArmInfo. Dialogue is of key importance from the point of view of having a proper system for the
protection and promotion of human rights. This was stated by Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, speaking at the opening of the forum on the topic "Civil society's involvement in the reform agenda of
Armenia".
In her speech, she noted that such platforms provide an opportunity
to conduct a full-fledged dialogue on various issues related to human
rights. "In terms of forming a full-fledged system for protecting
human rights in the country, a dialogue between civil society and
government agencies is necessary. "The voices of those who personally
see the problems and record them must be heard," the Defender said.
Anahit Manasyan also touched upon the issue of human rights in the
education system, noting that it needs serious transformation in
Armenia. "The human rights system in the education system needs a
comprehensive transformation. In addition, it is also important for
employees of state bodies to undergo regular training in various
areas," the Human Rights Defender noted.
Manasyan emphasized the importance of the control function on the
part of civil society, considering it key to ensuring that the voice
of civil society representatives is heard by the state. She spoke
about the role of public councils under the Human Rights Council,
which include representatives of civil society and independent
experts working in various fields.
