After power shift, all people who participated in so-called delimitation to be brought to the court: Avetik Chalabyan
ArmInfo. After the change of government, all the people who participated in the so-called border delimitation will be brought to the court, since they are taking away the constitutional right of the people to determine their territory and borders. Avetik Chalabyan, a public figure, politician, and founder of the Hayakve initiative, stated in a conversation with reporters on May 9.
"Yes, at the moment the march does not require a change of government, but this government has already so exhausted its credit of public trust that all this may ultimately lead to this," he said. On May 4, representatives of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, under the leadership of the Primate of the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, began a procession from the Kirants village of Tavush to Yerevan. The march participants oppose unilateral concessions and the illegal delimitation of the state border with Azerbaijan. On May 9 at 16:00 a public rally is planned on Republic Square.
Earlier, in a conversation with journalists, Srbazan said that after all that humiliation, devaluation, loss of identity, national spiritual image, this movement will lead to liberation. "We want to bring peace and reconciliation. This march is a testament to self-purification and self-knowledge," he said. Touching upon the question of whether participants in the movement will demand a change of government, Srbazan noted that they are not involved in politics, however, the harbinger of war is trying to blame people for inciting it. "Their job should be to pursue the interests of their country at the negotiating table so that the people are not humiliated and insulted. However, they do not do all this, that is, there is essentially no government, and if not, then what can be changed?" Bagrat Srbazan said.
