The episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts with Armaan telling Abhira (Samridhii) ) how he is fed up with everyday fights and arguments. He tells Abhira that he wants to end their marriage right now and sign the divorce papers. Armaan hands over the divorce papers to Abhira. However, Abhira is standing in silence and is not saying anything. Madhav comes and throws divorce papers in the pool. When Dadisa tries to stop him, he states that he thinks that Abhira is perfect for Armaan, just like she thinks that Vidya is perfect for him. Dadisa tells Sanjay to make divorce papers once again as she is adamant to remove Abhira from everyone's life, that too within 15 days.

Armaan feels bad that the situation between him and Abhira has gotten so worse that Abhira didn't fight back and uttered a single word when he handed the divorce papers to her. Armaan, who is driving, is dealing with all the thoughts and ultimately gets into a small accident. Manish, on the other hand, is adamant that he will not let Ruhi end up marrying Armaan as he thinks Armaan is definitely not a right guy for his granddaughter. Ruhi (Garvita Sadhwani), on the other hand, is happy that finally, her love story will start as soon as Armaan and Abhira's divorce gets finalized.
