The 14 most exciting tech products that will launch this year

We're only a few weeks into 2016, but this year promises to be a huge year in tech.

Sure, we'll have the usual new phones from Apple, Samsung, and Google, but this will also be the year we finally see VR headsets from Oculus, Sony, and HTC.

Here are some of the biggest tech products we expect to see this year. 

Oculus Rift

Oculus VR

It's finally here! The Oculus Rift, years in the making, finally begins shipping on March 28. The VR headset kit costs $600, but you'll also need a pretty powerful and expensive PC to use it. 

Speaking of VR, the HTC Vive becomes available for pre-order next month.

Steven Tweedie / Business Insider

The HTC Vive, a collaboration between HTC and the gaming company Valve, becomes available for pre-order on February 29. It begins shipping to people in April.

And Sony's own PlayStation VR will come out in the next few months.

Sony/Tech Insider

The PlayStation VR, which will work with the PS4, is expected to go on sale during the first half of the year. Check out these games that will be available on PlayStation VR.
