Following reports of a shortage of volunteers for the German Brigade – Kasčiūnas' assessment

After the weekly magazine Spiegel reported that the German army is facing challenges in finding volunteers willing to serve in the brigade deployed in Lithuania, former Minister of National Defence Laurynas Kasčiūnas urges caution. According to the conservative politician, the volunteer selection process is still in its early stages, and even if not, enough volunteers are found, a compulsory conscription mechanism can be implemented, so the Bundeswehr has every opportunity to form a brigade.
