“This is unacceptable” – President on involving teachers in repairs and public events
Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has emphasized that educators must be freed from excessive paperwork and endless reporting.
The President noted that the educational database is currently being modernized to integrate all government services, which will relieve teachers of routine administrative tasks.
"This last point is critical. Educators must be relieved of red tape, endless reports, and intrusive demands for certification and other useless vetting procedures. From time to time, reports surface of teachers being recruited for renovation work and various public events that have no direct connection to the educational process. We agreed long ago that this is unacceptable," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Head of State reminded that the Ministry of Education and local administrations (akimats) should focus primarily on improving the legal and regulatory framework, establishing an effective learning process, and carefully analyzing educational programs.
