New vehicle restriction introduced in Astana

Tengrinews.kz — New rules for drivers have come into effect in Astana. Starting August 10, transit heavy trucks are no longer allowed to enter the capital.

The Astana city administration has changed the traffic scheme for transit vehicles. From now on, trucks passing through Astana in transit will be directed along the Astana Bypass road.

Transit vehicle traffic scheme and procedures

The new rules were introduced by a city administration decree dated July 27. The document came into force today, August 10.

The changes do not affect regular passenger cars, as current legislation does not impose restrictions on their movement within the city.
