Tokayev to chair expanded government meeting
Tengrinews.kz – On Tuesday, 10 February, an extended government meeting chaired by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will take place, Akorda reports.
During the meeting, the results of the country’s socio-economic development for 2025 will be summed up, and the main tasks for the government for the upcoming period will be outlined.
According to the government press service, reports will be delivered by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, National Bank Chairman Timur Suleimenov, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev, as well as akims of a number of regions.
As a reminder, during the 5th meeting of the National Kurultai in Kyzylorda, the Head of State spoke about the development of several sectors of the economy and logistics issues. As the President noted, in order to secure a worthy place on the global logistics map, systemic efforts and a clear action strategy are needed. The government has been tasked with achieving concrete results in aviation, particularly in cargo aviation.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also supported Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov’s decision to transfer the Social Health Insurance Fund (SNIF) under the authority of the Ministry of Finance.
In addition, the President expressed dissatisfaction over the protracted construction of CHP plants in three cities of Kazakhstan and the slow commissioning of new deposits.
