Telegram launches decentralized network for AI computing - Pavel Durov
Tengrinews.kz – Telegram founder Pavel Durov has announced that his team has launched a decentralized network for AI computing called Cocoon. He stated that the system provides users with 100-percent privacy when interacting with artificial intelligence.
According to Durov, some Telegram requests related to automatic message translation are already being processed through this network.
“Developers gain access to computing resources at lower prices than centralized providers like Microsoft or Amazon. And GPU owners can earn TON cryptocurrency in real time by connecting their hardware to the Cocoon network,” Durov wrote.
Earlier, when announcing the project, Durov stated that the network would be powered by GPU miners, who would be rewarded in Toncoin (TON).
He explained that thanks to Cocoon, application developers will gain access to affordable AI tools without investing heavily in their own infrastructure, while users will be able to use artificial intelligence anonymously.
As a reminder, in early October, the international Digital Bridge 2025 forum took place in Astana, with Pavel Durov among the participants. During the event, he met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Their discussion focused on cooperation in education, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
