Dense fog and blizzards: weather in Kazakhstan for December 1

Tengrinews.kz – Dense fog is expected across most of Kazakhstan on December 1, while the northern regions will see blowing snow and precipitation, according to Kazhydromet.

Akmola Region — At night in the north and east of the region: light snow, blowing snow, icy conditions; during the day in the north and east: light precipitation (rain, snow), blowing snow, ice. Fog in the west, north, and east. Southwest wind 9–14 m/s, with gusts up to 15–20 m/s in the north and east. Night temperatures 0 to –5°C, daytime –2 to +3°C.

Almaty Region — No precipitation. Fog in the south and mountain areas. Northeast wind 9–14 m/s. Night temperatures 0 to –5°C, in the north and mountains –8 to –13°C; daytime +6 to +11°C, in the mountains –3 to +2°C.

Zhetysu Region — No precipitation. Fog in the east and mountains. Northeast wind 9–14 m/s; near Lake Alakol, southeast wind gusting 15–20 m/s, and on December 2 sometimes up to 23–28 m/s. Night temperatures –3 to –8°C, in mountains –13 to –18°C; daytime +3 to +8°C, in the east and mountains 0 to –5°C.

Turkestan Region — At night, light snow in the mountain areas. Fog in the north, south, and mountains. Northeast wind 9–14 m/s. Night temperatures –3 to +2°C, in the south up to +5°C.

West Kazakhstan Region — No precipitation. Fog in the west, north, and east. Southeast wind shifting to northeast at 9–14 m/s. Night temperatures 0 to –5°C, on December 2: –3 to –8°C; daytime –1 to +4°C.

Atyrau Region — Night temperatures 0 to –5°C, in the northeast –8°C, no precipitation. Fog at night and in the morning in the north, west, and south. Southeast wind 7–12 m/s. Daytime +3 to +8°C, no precipitation.
