Kazakhstan signs nuclear energy agreement with Finland
Tengrinews.kz – During the official visit of Finnish President Alexander Stubb to Kazakhstan, 15 documents were signed, according to Akorda.
Among them is a Memorandum of Understanding between the Kazakhstan Atomic Energy Agency and Finland’s Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
The parties also signed a Memorandum on cooperation in developing tourism at the Burabay resort.
In addition, Kazakhstan and Finland signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of an eco-friendly wooden housing project in Kazakhstan.
As a reminder, today Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks in Astana with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. Following the talks, Tokayev and Stubb issued a joint statement reflecting the shared positions of the two sides and the initiatives proposed during today’s discussions.
