Why can’t the Kyzdar.net website be blocked? The Ministry of Interior responds
Tengrinews.kz – The controversial website Kyzdar.net remains accessible in Kazakhstan despite several attempts to block it. Today, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Sanjar Adilov addressed this issue, explaining the ongoing efforts to shut down the site.
According to Adilov, Kazakhstan is working in collaboration with Germany and Interpol to address the situation, as the website’s servers and owners are located outside the country.
"We have sent requests through Interpol. The work is ongoing. The server is located abroad, as are the website’s owners. That’s why we are working through Interpol and the General Prosecutor’s Office’s Department of International Cooperation. We are monitoring the situation and taking measures to shut it down. There’s a specific legal and international procedure involved. The server isn’t in Kazakhstan, so it’s not as simple as pressing a button," said Adilov during a briefing at the Majilis (lower house of Parliament).
He emphasized that this is not a quick fix and that Kazakhstan is in constant contact with international partners.
The saga with the controversial website Kyzdar.net has been ongoing for several years. Despite being blocked and shut down multiple times, the site continues to resurface. Currently, it is still accessible. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the site’s administrators continuously change its addresses and domains, allowing it to remain online.
