Tengrinews.kz – In the last month of summer, Kazakh citizens will have one additional day off thanks to the celebration of Constitution Day. Tengrinews.kz has prepared a convenient calendar to help you plan your rest and possible trips in advance.
On this day, the country celebrates the adoption of the 1995 Constitution, which defines the legal and political foundations of the state. The holiday is observed annually on August 30.
How Kazakhstanis will rest on Constitution Day in 2025
Five-day work week
For those working a five-day schedule, the additional holiday will allow for a three-day weekend. In 2025, August 30 falls on a Saturday, so according to the Law “On Holidays,” the day off is moved to Monday, September 1.
In total, there will be 10 days off in August for those on a five-day schedule. The holiday weekend will be:

August 30, 31 and September 1 – days off.

Six-day work week
For those working a six-day schedule, the additional holiday will be on Saturday, August 30. The weekend schedule will be:

August 30 and 31 – days off, September 1 – working day.

Employees on a six-day work week will have 6 days off in August.
