Morocco introduces visa-free travel for Kazakhstanis

0

Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstanis can now visit Morocco without a visa.

Kazakhstan has ratified an agreement on mutual visa exemption with Morocco for holders of national and ordinary passports. Citizens of Kazakhstan can now freely visit the kingdom without obtaining a visa, provided their stay does not exceed 30 days within a 180-day period.

The document titled "On the Approval of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on the Exemption from Visa Requirements for Holders of National/Ordinary Passports" was published on the "Reference Control Bank of Regulatory Legal Acts of Kazakhstan" portal. According to the government decree, the agreement came into force on February 13.

Visa-free regime conditions

It is noted that Kazakhstanis can enter, leave, and stay in Morocco without a visa, provided their passport is valid for at least three months beyond the date of departure. However, the visa-free regime only applies to short-term visits.

If citizens of Kazakhstan plan to stay in Morocco for more than 30 days, for example, for work, study, or business purposes, they will need to obtain the appropriate visa in advance at a Moroccan diplomatic mission.

What the visa-free regime offers

The visa exemption will significantly simplify travel for Kazakhstanis to Morocco for both tourism and private purposes. Visiting the legendary Marrakesh, the beaches of Agadir, the market in Fez, or the Sahara Desert will now be more accessible without complicated bureaucratic procedures.

Recall that in September 2024, Kazakhstan and Morocco signed an agreement on visa exemption.
