Kazakhstan to change goods import system at vehicle checkpoints
Tengrinews.kz - The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Ministry of Finance reported that from February 17, Kazakhstan will change the system for providing information on the transportation of goods by road.
"As part of the continuation of work on the phased implementation of the Keden customs information system, the committee is putting into operation the functionality of providing preliminary information on goods intended for import into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union by road.
From February 17, 2025, the provision and processing of preliminary information at automobile checkpoints will be carried out in Keden," the SRC reported.
Customs authorities use preliminary information to speed up customs operations and optimize customs control.
"Advance submission of preliminary information will reduce the time for customs operations and integrated control of related services upon the arrival of goods and vehicles on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union," the SRC explained.
