Kazhydromet has issued storm warnings due to heavy snowstorms and fog

Tengrinews.kz - Storm warnings due to heavy snowstorms and fog have been issued in several regions of Kazakhstan on February 3, according to Kazhydromet.

In Astana, light snow, fog, and icy conditions are expected at night and in the morning.

In the northern, eastern, and central parts of Abai region, snow and ground blizzards are expected at night. During the day, ground blizzards are expected in the Ayagoz district. There will also be fog in the western, northern, and southern parts of the region. Northeasterly winds will prevail, with gusts of 15-20 meters per second in the Ayagoz district during the day.

In the western, southern, and eastern parts of Akmola region, light snow is expected at night, with light snow or rain showers during the day. Ground blizzards, fog, and icy conditions are expected in the western, southern, and eastern regions.

In the northern and eastern parts of Aktobe region, light snow, icy conditions, and fog will persist. Fog is also expected in Aktobe at night and in the morning.

In the northern and southern parts of Almaty region, fog is expected occasionally, along with icy roads. Temperatures will drop to a severe -25°C in the southeastern part of the region at night. In Almaty, fog and icy conditions are expected at night and in the morning, as well as in Konaev.

In the western and eastern parts of Atyrau region, light snow or rain showers are expected, along with icy conditions. Fog will occur in the western, southern, and eastern parts of the region during the night and morning.

Snow and rain showers will continue in the western and northern parts of the region during the day.
