Kazhydromet warned the residents of Astana

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet warned residents of Astana and three other cities in Kazakhstan about adverse weather conditions.

"On January 31, 2025, adverse meteorological conditions with air pollution are expected in the cities of Astana, Aktobe, Atyrau, and Petropavlovsk," the statement said.

Adverse weather conditions, such as air pollution, result from a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, weak winds, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the ground-level atmospheric air.
Earlier, Kazhydromet published the weather forecast for Astana for the next three days, from January 31 to February 2.
