The U.S. proposed changing the Constitution for Trump's third term

Tengrinews.kz - U.S. House of Representatives member Andy Ogles has introduced a proposal for an amendment to the Constitution that would allow U.S. President Donald Trump to run for a third presidential term, according to Fox News.
The text of the amendment to the Constitution proposed by the congressman states that no person can be elected to the post of U.S. president more than three times, and also cannot be re-elected if he has served two consecutive terms as president.
According to the member of the lower house of Congress, Trump has proven that he is "the only figure in modern history capable of reversing the decline of the nation and returning America to greatness." To do this, according to the congressman, Trump must have enough time - more than two presidential terms.

"To that end, I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms. This amendment would allow President Trump to serve three terms, ensuring that we can sustain the bold leadership our nation so desperately needs," Ogles said.

It should be noted that, according to the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, one person can serve no more than two terms as president, even if they are not consecutive.
In November 2024, Trump expressed his willingness to consider running for a third term, despite the constitutional limitations, if "some other solution is found."
Previously, Donald Trump decided to send an additional 10,000 troops to the Mexican border.
