Kazakh Spider-Man: Blogger surprises social media with unusual videos

0
Tengrinews.kz - Many people love superhero movies, but have you ever imagined how their lives would be in Kazakhstan? Recently, one creator decided to fantasize about this topic and began to gain popularity on the Internet.
A Kazakh blogger Ali Kiyas has attracted the attention of users thanks to his creative videos where famous Marvel and DC superheroes try on Kazakh traditions. In one of the videos, Spider-Man, Superman, Iron Man, Captain America, and Batman sit at the dastarkhan (at the table - ed.) eat beshbarmak and play the dombra. This video has already collected more than 700 thousand views.

"The Avengers' corporate party is just a bomb," "The Avengers gathered after 12 years!" "I always knew that the Avengers had a drop of Kazakh blood!" "Gathered the heroes and did an ace," "A general gathering of the Avengers!" "Marvel x DC - we have never seen anything like this," "Why wasn't Wonder Woman invited? It's just a shame," "I fell laughing! Now we know for sure that Spider-Man is from Kazakhstan!" the commentators wrote under the video.
The author of the videos said that the idea to combine superheroes with Kazakh culture came about by chance.

"I am 24 years old. I am originally from Kyzylorda and graduated from the Zhurgenov Academy. I am a drama and film actor by profession. I work as an animator, and I only have one costume - Spider-Man. So I decided to create content. That's how the idea was born to dress a superhero in a Kazakh takiya (Kazakh national headdress - ed.), give him a dombra and show him cleaning snow or riding a horse," the blogger said.

Ali noted that he had never watched the Spider-Man movie, but he was interested in the character as a symbol.

"Spider-Man is a fictional character, but young people adore him. Then I thought: why not make him closer to our culture? This is both support for traditions and a new look at heroes. There was even a joke: if a child says that he wants to become Spider-Man, parents can answer that to do this you need to learn to play the dombra, wear a takiya, and play sports!" he noted.

Ali is actively developing his blog, although he emphasizes that TikTok is not the most important thing for him.

"I want to work in my profession. My dream is to play leading roles in films. But there are no scripts yet, I am focused on content. If an interesting project appears, I am ready to embody any image, be it a drama or a comedy. I also do boxing and plan to put on a show with fights," the blogger shared.

What if Spider-Man was born in Kazakhstan?
