Kazhydromet warns residents of Almaty, Shymkent, and 2 other cities

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet meteorologists have issued a warning for residents of Almaty, Shymkent, and two other cities.

"On January 10, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in the cities of Almaty, Shymkent, Balkhash, and Atyrau," the statement reads.

Unfavorable conditions are caused by a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm winds, light breeze, fog, and inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
Earlier, meteorologists shared the expected weather conditions for January in Kazakhstan.
