Babies born in 2025 will be part of Generation Beta

Tengrinews.kz - Children born between 2025 and 2039 will become representatives of the new Beta generation. Social researcher and futurologist Mark McCrindle told what difficulties they will face, according to the New York Post.
Generation Beta will replace Generation Alpha, whose representatives were born between 2010 and 2024.
Before that, there was Generation Z, or Zoomers, who were born between 1996 and 2010, and Generation Y, or millennials, who were born between 1981 and 1996.
The next generation of children "will inherit a world grappling with major societal challenges," wrote social researcher and futurist Mark McCrindle — who coined the term “Generation Alpha."

"With climate change, global population shifts, and rapid urbanization at the forefront, sustainability will not just be a preference but an expectation," McCrindle wrote.

McCrindle also claimed that by 2035, Generation Beta will make up 16 percent of the world's population and live in a world governed by artificial intelligence.

"Generation Beta will live in an era where AI and automation are fully embedded in everyday life – from education and workplaces to healthcare and entertainment," he explained.

McCrindle also predicted that parents of Generation Beta (mostly Gen Z) may take a different approach to social media use than their predecessors.

"While many millennial parents used social media to document their children's lives, Generation Z know more about both the positives and challenges that come with social media use from a young age," he said.

Parents of Gen Z are more likely to agree that limiting their children's screen time is a top priority, the expert believes.
Generational researcher Jason Dorsey noted that the Beta generation will be born into a post-pandemic world, and they will learn about it in history class.
When Generation Beta is old enough to vote, Generation X, or those born between 1965 and 1980, will be the demographic in power, with issues like worsening climate change becoming hot topics, social scientists say.
