President of Guinea-Bissau to arrive in Kazakhstan

The official visit of the President of Guinea-Bissau to Astana will take place on December 18.
In October, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited President Umaru Sisoka Embalo to visit the capital of Kazakhstan on an official visit.
Then, during a telephone conversation, the presidents confirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation and considered priority areas of interaction.
The Republic of Guinea-Bissau is a state in West Africa, a former Portuguese colony, an independent state since September 24, 1973. In addition to the mainland, it includes the island of Bolama and the Bijagos Archipelago. It borders Senegal in the north and Guinea in the southeast.
Guinea-Bissau has deposits of phosphates, bauxite, and oil, but they are not exported. The country's economy is based on agriculture and fisheries. Rice, corn, legumes, and tapioca are actively grown in the African country.
