Donald Trump reacted to Hunter Biden's pardon

0

Tengrinews.kz - Donald Trump has reacted to US President Joe Biden's decision to pardon his son Hunter Biden.
The US President-elect called Hunter Biden's pardon an abuse and a miscarriage of justice on the Truth Social social network.

"Does the Pardon given by Joe to Hunter include the J-6 Hostages, who have now been imprisoned for years? Such an abuse and miscarriage of Justice!" Trump wrote.

In turn, Donald Trump Jr. said that Biden's decision to pardon his son was expected.

"Everyone knew he was going to do it. He was just going to do it when it was if no consequence to democratic electability," Trump Jr. wrote on the social network X.

Earlier, the US President signed a decree pardoning his son Hunter, stating that this decision was dictated by his belief in the unfairness of the prosecution.
Hunter Biden faced up to 25 years in prison for lying on a federal form about his drug addiction when buying a gun in 2018. However, legal experts noted that, given the lack of violent crimes and the status of a first-time convict, he would most likely have received a much more lenient sentence - up to a year in prison or even probation.
