Storm warnings issued across Kazakhstan
Tengrinews.kz – Meteorologists have forecast weather conditions for November 25 in Kazakhstan, with storm warnings issued for Almaty and several other regions.
According to Kazhydromet, most of the country will be influenced by a widespread anticyclone, resulting in mostly dry conditions. However, strong winds and fog are expected during the night and early morning hours.
Regional forecast highlights:
Almaty: Fog is anticipated during the night and morning.
Almaty Region: Fog is expected, with southeast winds shifting to the west. Gusts of up to 15 m/s are predicted in the eastern part of the region at night.
Akmola Region: Fog is forecast.
Kostanay Region: Foggy conditions are expected.
Zhambyl Region: Fog, with northeast winds reaching 15-20 m/s in the northeast and mountainous areas. Gusts may hit 25 m/s at night.
Abay Region: Fog, with northeast and east winds reaching 15-20 m/s in the southwest.
West Kazakhstan Region: Foggy conditions are expected.
Karaganda Region: Northeasterly and easterly winds are expected, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in the southeast.
Kyzylorda Region: Northeasterly and easterly winds will persist, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in the central and eastern areas during the night and morning.
Ulytau Region: Easterly winds, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in the southern part.
Atyrau Region: Southeast winds, with gusts of 15-20 m/s in the south at night.
Turkestan Region: Fog, with southeast and east winds reaching 15-20 m/s in the northern, western, and mountainous areas.
Earlier, forecasters noted that a vast Siberian anticyclone would dominate the weather in most of Kazakhstan, bringing dry conditions. However, the southwest and mountainous areas in the south and southeast may experience precipitation (rain and snow), wind intensification, and icy conditions in mountainous regions. Fog is expected across the country during the night and morning hours.
