Donald Trump’s re-election as president of the United States has split opinion in Switzerland, with many people fearful of the consequences for the Alpine state. Swiss President Viola Amherd has congratulated Donald Trump and running mate JD Vance and reiterated the strong scientific and economic ties between the two countries.
