Anniston Star Saturday, June 20, 2009 Page 5A IN BRIEF More evidence found in man's shooting Anniston police have found new evidence in the shooting of a 73-year-old man on the 1300 block of West 15th Street Wednesday night. The man was shot, police said, while trying to protect himself from two men, one of them armed. The armed suspect fired multiple shots at the man, hitting him three times, investigators said. A 40-year-old neighbor heard the shooting and he decided tp wait to go home until he felt it was safe. The man came home and found his kitchen window was broken, police said, and there was a bullet in the room.Police said it appeared the bullet was a stray from the earlier shooting.
