"100": Woltemade & Tah send message to "unbelievable" Arsenal star after Kairat display

Arsenal returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Kairat Almaty in the final league phase game of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Gunners dominated proceedings against the Kazakhstan champions and should have won the match by a more commanding scoreline with the chances created in the first half.

Kai Havertz was adjudged the man of the match after a fabulous first-half showing. The German playmaker provided an early assist for Gyokeres before scoring with a powerful effort.

Shortly after the win, the 26-year-old posted on Instagram with the caption ‘Back at home‘.

Several Arsenal stars responded to his post. He was also praised by his German compatriots Nick Woltemade and Jonathan Tah after starring in his first start for the club in 357 days.

Newcastle United striker Woltemade responded with clapping emojis, while Bayern Munich defender Tah posted a combination of a 100, love and strength emojis in the comments section.

Havertz had a fine outing against Kairat yesterday. He made two crucial goal contributions and was hailed as ‘unbelievable‘ by manager Mikel Arteta in his post-match presser.

The German dazzled from an attacking midfield position. He will be knocking on the door for more minutes when Arsenal take on Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday.

Arsenal are four points clear at the top of the standings ahead of Manchester City and Aston Villa, and can temporarily go seven points ahead with a victory at Elland Road.

The Gunners have won seven straight games against the Yorkshire outfit, but Saturday’s encounter could be a tricky one with the Whites having picked up form recently.

They have lost just one of the last 12 matches across all competitions. This includes draws against Liverpool (x2) and Manchester United, as well as beating Chelsea in front of their fans.

Arsenal were guilty of missing several big scoring chances last night. The club can ill-afford to do so against Leeds, who have conceded just 13 goals in 11 home league games this term.
