Unos estadounidenses que viven en España van al médico tras un mes con tos y alucinan con el trato: «Nos está costando...»

En los últimos tiempos se han viralizado múltiples cuentas de TikTok por mostrar al mundo choques culturales. Los más triunfantes son los que están relacionados con la alimentación , quizás por el hecho de que tienen que ver con algo que afecta al día a día de todos. Así que sorpresas en el supermercado o con determinados menús suelen funcionar muy bien. También es cierto, que los 'shocks' que se arrasan en redes van más allá de la comida. La vivienda, la higiene , la educación, el funcionamiento del transporte público o el uso de la sanidad pública son aspectos que algunos, ya sean extranjeros venidos a España o españoles que se han mudado lejos, abordan en publicaciones para ayudar a otros y, de paso, provocar un sinfín de reacciones. Si hace unos días una española afincada en Alemania triunfaba contando lo que paga por tener sanidad allí ahora son una familia norteamericana, los Smith, que viven en España los que están viralizándose por lo que les está chocando de la atención médica en España . Su vídeo en @smithsinspain acumula ya más de 50.000 visualizaciones. «Mentalidad de no ir al doctor» Ellos son Eric y Jessica, que enamorados de España decidieron trasladarse de Kansas a Logroño. Sus reflexiones empiezan cuando ambos están caminando por la calle y ella comenta que «acabamos de salir del consultorio médico porque nos hemos estado encontrando muy mal en el último mes» . Él comenta que ha tenido tos «durante probablemente un mes o mes y medio» y ella que también la sufre desde hace dos semanas y media y que tras ir allí les han comentado que porqué habían tardado tanto en acudir a la consulta. «Bueno, es que somos americanos. Tenemos la mentalidad de no ir al doctor si no tenemos otro remedio que ir», comenta Jessica mientras Eric le apoya. Así, reconocen que les está costando este cambio de mentalidad y que, a pesar de llevar ya dos años aquí, «todavía nos está costando ir al doctor, aunque tengamos una increíble atención médica como la de aquí». «Pero estamos mejorando, esta vez solo tardamos un mes a ir» , explican con ironía. Así, Jessica añade que para ella «es muy difícil ir al médico porque cuando vivíamos en Estados Unidos siempre era muy caro y siempre había una factura sorpresa súper increíble ». Eric continua el vídeo explicando que por su tos le hicieron una radiografía de tórax y que temieron por el coste, que luego fue normal.
