Police, PDEA seize mega shabu lab at foot of Mt. Arayat

Arayat, Pampanga – Joint operatives of the Pampanga police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 3 (PDEA-3) discovered what is believed to be the biggest shabu laboratory in the region located at the foot of Mount Arayat in Barangay Lacquios here. Pampanga police director Senior Supt. Rodolfo Recomono Jr. said this is the second shabu laboratory seized by authorities in a span of two weeks. The latest find was surrounded by an 8- to 10-feet concrete fence sitting beside a hog farm and a melting plant of plastics. Recomono said occupants of the shabu laboratory scampered to different directions upon seeing the raiding team. Seven large hyrogenators and chromatograph machines were found inside the laboratory, which can manufacture 50 to 100 kilos per day. “As per assessment of the crime laboratory chemists, the chromatograph machine is an equipment that determines the purity of shabu,” Recomono said in a phone interview.
