Letter: Misused money

An Aug. 9 letter writer hit the nail on the head in his letter titled "Too near refuge." What makes the situation more egregious is the fact that the Town of Awendaw purchased the land in question with Greenbelt monies for a passive park. Think about that as you vote on a half-cent sales tax hike referendum this November.
