PDEA nabs 3, seizes P60-M marijuana

Camp Julian Olivas, Pampanga — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized at least R60 million worth of marijuana in a buy-bust operation in the City Of San Fernando, this province, and arrested three suspected drug traders last Saturday. PDEA Director-General Arturo G. Cacdac Jr. identified the suspects as Menalao Flores, 40; Israel Flores, 32; and Carlu Quiambao, 37, all residents of Baliuag, Bulacan. Cacdac Jr. told Manila Bulletin that drug bust was the biggest marijuana haul in Pampanga. He said agents of the PDEA Region-3 initially closed the deal with the suspects for 10 kilos of marijuana and met them on Macarthur Highway in Barangay San Agustin, City of San Fernando.
