Science, education, and innovation - Tokayev outlined Kazakhstan's key priorities
Tengrinews.kz — Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reminded that Kazakhstan's new Constitution prioritizes science, education, and innovation. The Head of State made this statement during a meeting with school and university students who won or placed in international olympiads, citing Akorda.
This year, Kazakhstani students participated in 44 international olympiads and science competitions, winning over a thousand medals, more than 200 of which were gold. The President hailed this as an outstanding achievement.
"I would like to give special recognition to the students who performed brilliantly at the International Physics Olympiad; all five of our participants won gold medals and became winners. This is an unprecedented, unique result. We must strive for such high performance in all areas, and the potential of Kazakhstan's youth makes it fully possible to achieve this," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Head of State also spoke in detail about the historic transformations taking place in the country.
"United as one country and one people, we have carried out large-scale reforms. A new Constitution has been adopted. In our country's primary document, priority is given to science, education, and innovation. Most importantly, the new Constitution was written for the benefit of the younger generation. Just yesterday, for the first time in our history, elections to the Kurultai were held. It is no exaggeration to say that these elections were successfully and flawlessly organized. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all our people for their civic engagement and support of our renewal strategy. A group of observers, including international ones, worked very effectively during the elections. I express my deep gratitude to them. Furthermore, the extensive work carried out by the members of the Central Election Commission deserves high praise," the President stated.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also shared whom he considers to be the true "heroes of our time."
