From +41°C to +17°C: Kazakhstan expects sharp weather changes

Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet forecasters have presented the weather forecast for August 18, 19 and 20.
According to the forecast, weather conditions in Kazakhstan will change sharply in the coming days. From August 18 to 20, rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and hail in some areas are expected across most of the country. At the same time, intense heat of up to +41°C will persist in the west, while daytime temperatures in the north will fall to +17…+22°C.
Where rain is expected
According to Kazhydromet, atmospheric fronts will bring precipitation to most of Kazakhstan. Rain will be accompanied by thunderstorms and stronger winds, with hail possible in some areas.
Dry weather during this period is expected mainly in the south of the country.
Heavy rain is forecast:

on August 19–20 in northern regions;on August 20 in central Kazakhstan.

Fog is also expected at night and in the morning in the north, east and center of the country.
Where the strongest heat is expected
Despite unsettled weather in a number of regions, hot conditions will persist in western Kazakhstan. Daytime temperatures will range from +30°C to +38°C, while some areas of Mangystau Region may see temperatures reach +41°C.
Temperatures of +27…+35°C are expected in Aktobe Region and +20…+30°C in Kostanay Region.
In the south, daytime temperatures will range from +30°C to +37°C, while the southeast will see +28…+35°C.
Where it will get cooler
The most noticeable cooling is expected in northern regions, where daytime temperatures will fall to +17…+22°C.
In central and eastern regions, daytime temperatures will range from +18°C to +30°C.
