Improving the well-being of citizens - Tokayev named the main goal of the state

Tengrinews.kz — President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that amid growing threats and challenges, Kazakhstan requires decisive action. The Head of State made these remarks at a joint session of the houses of Parliament.

"Our primary goal is to increase prosperity, ensure security, and improve the quality of life for our citizens, making this progress and the trend itself irreversible," Tokayev said.

The President noted that the scale and complexity of the tasks ahead require persistent and effective work.

"In this regard, I believe it is important to summarize the key results of our joint efforts and define directions for further development," the Head of State said.

Tokayev specifically focused on the formation of a new architecture of state power. According to him, the current convocation of Parliament will be remembered for the high quality of its legislative work and the unprecedented efficiency of its members.

"Nearly every one of you, as deputies, can tell future generations of politicians and public figures, your children and grandchildren: 'I had the opportunity to take a direct part in the work on the 2026 Constitution,'" the President noted.

Earlier, Tokayev stated that Kazakhstan is beginning a "major overhaul of the foundation of Kazakh statehood." According to him, the country needs a qualitative improvement of its public administration system.
We also reported that in Kazakhstan the position of vice president is being legally established. The corresponding draft constitutional law was considered at a joint session of the houses of Parliament.
