Tokayev briefed on how Slavic organizations promote the Kazakh language
Tengrinews.kz – Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Sergei Ponomarev, Chairman of the Association of Russian, Slavic and Cossack organizations and deputy of the Mazhilis of Parliament, according to Akorda.
The President and Chairman of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, heard information about the Association’s participation in efforts to further strengthen Kazakhstan’s nationwide identity, national unity, and the upbringing of the younger generation in the spirit of love for the Motherland.
Sergei Ponomarev spoke about the work of Slavic organizations in promoting the state language as a consolidating factor, as well as about the Association’s plans for 2026 to implement the Concept for the Development of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan until 2030, “Unity in Diversity.”
“Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that interethnic harmony and national unity are among the key priorities of state policy. According to him, justice and equal opportunities for all citizens are a core principle of a Just Kazakhstan,” Akorda’s press service noted.
In this context, the activities of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and its member organizations, as before, will remain focused on promoting unifying values based on Kazakhstani patriotism among representatives of all ethnic groups.
