Tokayev congratulates police officers and civil servants

Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered remarks at an expanded meeting of Kazakhstan’s law enforcement agencies, citing Akorda.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate all police officers and civil servants of Kazakhstan on their day of recognition. Serving the state is an honorable and responsible mission. You make an important contribution to upholding law and order, and to protecting the rights and interests of citizens," President Tokayev said.

He emphasized that today, amid growing global uncertainty, strengthening public safety and strict adherence to the law are of particular importance.

"That is why we are holding a joint meeting of law enforcement agencies for the first time. It is essential to consolidate the efforts of all relevant institutions. Strict observance of the 'Law and Order' principle also depends on active support from the public. This session is attended by leaders of central and local executive bodies, members of parliament, experts, and civil society activists. A key role in transforming the security sector will be played by the new generation of officers, which is why cadets from departmental academies are present in this hall today," the Head of State noted.

The President also highlighted the importance of expanding international cooperation to effectively combat transnational criminal groups.

"Foreign police attachés are present here today. I sincerely thank you for your effective international cooperation in the law enforcement sphere," Tokayev added.

According to the Astana akimat, a drone light show will take place in Astana on Monday, June 23, in honor of Kazakhstan Police Day.
