Tokayev: Armenia is a reliable partner for Kazakhstan
In October 2024, the presidents of Kazakhstan and Armenia held talks in Astana. At that time, Tokayev stated that Kazakhstan is interested in elevating Kazakh-Armenian cooperation to a new qualitative level.

“I am confident that today’s agreements will contribute to strengthening our bilateral relations. We place great importance on our regular high-level meetings, which form the solid foundation of the Kazakh-Armenian partnership. In Kazakhstan, we highly value our friendship with Armenia. There is genuine warmth for the Armenian people in our country. For Kazakhstan, Armenia is a reliable and time-tested close partner. Our nations are united by strong bonds of friendship, shared history, and common cultural and humanitarian values,” Tokayev previously emphasized.

In March 2025, Tokayev also received Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, noting that Kazakhstan welcomes the conclusion of negotiations on a draft peace agreement and the establishment of interstate relations between Yerevan and Baku.
According to him, this milestone will mark the beginning of lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and contribute to regional security and active cooperation, both with Kazakhstan and with all countries of Central Asia.
