Kazakhstan plans to export meat to Turkey
Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan plans to supply meat to Turkey. This was reported by Vice-minister of Agriculture Ermek Kenzhehanuly.
The official reported that according to the results of last year, the volume of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey amounted to about 285 million dollars.
"The main export goods are grain and leguminous crops. The main imports from Turkey are vegetables, fruits, nuts, and other crops," Kenzhehanuly said on the sidelines of the Senate.
In addition, according to him, Kazakhstan plans to export meat to Turkey.
"We are currently taking measures to ensure the export of meat and meat products. As part of this, we are conducting appropriate work with the veterinary service of Turkey. We are also coordinating enterprises that intend to export meat and meat products to Turkey," the vice minister added.
Earlier, the Department of State Revenue of the West Kazakhstan Region announced a ban on the export of catfish and pike perch in unprocessed form from Kazakhstan.
