Another document will become electronic in Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz - Another certificate may be issued in electronic format in Kazakhstan. The corresponding draft order was published by the Ministry of Healthcare.
The Ministry has developed amendments to the rules for conducting an examination of temporary disability, as well as issuing a sheet or certificate of temporary disability.
The new version says that as part of the optimization and automation of the transfer of documents to electronic format, the sick leave certificate may become electronic.
An electronic sick leave certificate, like its paper counterpart, will certify a person’s temporary disability and confirm their right to temporary release from work and to receive temporary disability benefits.

"A certificate of temporary incapacity for work, a certificate of temporary incapacity for work are generated in the form of an electronic document based on the results of an examination of temporary incapacity for work due to illness, injury, poisoning and other conditions associated with temporary loss of working capacity, treatment in health resorts, when it is necessary to care for a sick family member, due to quarantine, during prosthetics in inpatient conditions, due to pregnancy and childbirth," the text of the document says.

The certificate will be available to both Kazakhstani citizens, as well as foreign citizens and kandases residing in Kazakhstan.

"For certain categories of persons, information about whom constitutes a state or other secret protected by law, and persons for the purpose of paying temporary disability benefits, maternity benefits, a certificate of temporary disability is issued in the form of a document on paper," the draft order says.

Organizations that have a license to carry out medical activities will be able to issue and issue electronic sick leave.
