Aston Martin retains Drugovich as test and reserve driver for 2025
Aston Martin has confirmed that Felipe Drugovich will remain with the team as its Test and Reserve Driver for the 2025 Formula 1 season, extending a partnership that began in 2022.
The 24-year-old Brazilian, who stormed to victory in the 2022 Formula 2 Championship with a dominant 101-point margin over his closest rival Theo Pourchaire, joined Aston Martin’s driver development program following that triumph.
Since then, Drugovich has been a valuable asset to the team, sharing Test and Reserve Driver duties with former F1 racer Stoffel Vandoorne.
His role has included participation in five FP1 sessions and three end-of-season tests, providing him with valuable experience at the highest level of motorsport.
Notably, Drugovich also stepped in for Lance Stroll during pre-season testing in 2023 when the Canadian driver was recovering from injuries sustained in a cycling accident.

Beyond his F1 commitments, Drugovich will compete in the upcoming 24 Hours of Daytona endurance race, driving a Cadillac LMDh for Action Express Racing alongside Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, and Frederik Vesti.
His continued presence as Test and Reserve Driver in 2025 ensures Drugovich will remain a regular fixture at Grands Prix throughout the season.

Praise from Mike Krack
Mike Krack, who recently transitioned to the role of Chief Trackside Officer with Andy Cowell taking over as Team Principal, also spoke highly of Drugovich’s contributions.
“Felipe has been a vital member of our team since joining, and we are very pleased to continue working with him into 2025 – he is a real asset,” said Krack.
“His contributions behind the scenes, particularly in the simulator and during test sessions, have been invaluable, and he does not put a foot wrong behind the wheel.
