The airline's press service explained that passengers are offered beverages depending on the flight duration.

"On all international flights, passengers are provided with a full menu, including a choice of hot meals, as well as a variety of cold and hot drinks. Additionally, snacks, drinks, alcoholic beverages, and hot meals are available for purchase from the paid menu listed in the airline's in-flight magazines. Smoking and consuming alcohol brought on board by passengers is strictly prohibited in accordance with international safety regulations," the company stated.

FlyArystan
FlyArystan emphasized that they "regulate alcohol consumption on board strictly in line with safety rules, prioritizing passenger health and comfort."

"Passengers are only allowed to consume alcoholic beverages purchased directly on board during service by cabin crew. Consumption of alcohol brought on board, including duty-free items, is strictly prohibited," the company explained.

The airline noted that its cabin crew monitors the sale and consumption of alcohol during flights.

"If a passenger shows signs of intoxication or aggressive behavior that could compromise safety, the crew reserves the right to refuse alcohol sales. Additionally, depending on cabin pressure and weather conditions, the crew may limit the amount of alcohol served," the press service noted.

FlyArystan urged passengers to "respect the rules and follow crew recommendations."
Qazaq Air
The airline stated that alcoholic beverages can be ordered on board from the menu and paid for via cashless transactions.

"However, it should be noted that consuming alcoholic beverages, including those purchased in duty-free shops, is prohibited on board," the airline added.

Air Astana
Air Astana also clarified its policy on alcohol consumption during flights.

"Passengers are offered a range of beverages depending on the service class. Alcohol is not served on routes with religious or cultural restrictions. Additionally, bar service during breakfast is available upon request. Consumption of personal alcohol brought on board is strictly prohibited in accordance with international safety standards," the company stated.

We do not recommend drinking alcohol on board. There are several good reasons for this:

Accelerated intoxication: At an altitude of about 10,000 meters, cabin pressure is lower than at sea level, and oxygen levels are reduced. This causes alcohol to enter the bloodstream faster, intensifying its effects. Even small amounts can lead to strong intoxication, affecting coordination and perception.
Dehydration: Air travel already contributes to dehydration due to the dry cabin air. Alcohol exacerbates this effect as it acts as a diuretic. This can result in headaches, fatigue, and discomfort after the flight.
Exacerbated fatigue symptoms: Alcohol suppresses the nervous system, increasing drowsiness and fatigue. Combined with jet lag, this can significantly worsen overall post-flight well-being.
Cognitive impairment: Reduced oxygen levels at altitude can already negatively impact attention and reaction times. Alcohol amplifies this effect, diminishing judgment and increasing the risk of panic or conflicts on board.
