Do Kazakhstanis need a day off on December 31? Deputy’s opinion

Tengrinews.kz – Mazhilis deputy Askhat Aimagambetov expressed his opinion on whether December 31 should be made a day off.
According to him, such a decision "would be good."

"To be honest, I have always wondered about this: ‘why is December 31 not a day off?’ It seems to me that December 31 is a completely different mood. I remember when we were schoolchildren, and even later, we always asked ourselves this question. It seems to me that if such a decision were made, no one would be hurt by it for sure. If such a decision is made, I would fully support it," Aimagambetov said on the sidelines of the Mazhilis.

However, according to him, the deputies themselves will not put forward such an initiative.

"There is competence for each authorized body, in this case it is the government. If a decision is made to postpone additional days off, why not," he noted.

It has been confirmed whether December 31 will be an official holiday in Kazakhstan.
